• Wrinkles. It can be useful in the treatment of the fine and deep lines on a patient's face.

• Platysmal Bands.  The  two strips of muscles that start at the base of your neck and run up the front left and right sides of your neck, all the way up to the jaw, in the area where “frown lines” are prominent. 

How Does Botox Work?

Botox® injections use a thin needle to inject tiny amounts of botulinum toxin into your skin or muscles. The number of injections needed depends on many factors, including the extent of the area being treated.

Most people don't feel much discomfort during the procedure. The patient may want their skin numbed beforehand, especially if the palms or soles are being treated for excessive sweating. Various methods are available to numb the area, such as topical anesthesia, ice, and vibration anesthesia which uses massage to reduce discomfort.

Botox® injections usually begin working one to three days after treatment. Depending on the problem being treated, the effect may last up to six months. To maintain the effect, you'll need regular follow-up injections.
